# Billing

> Manage your Hermes subscription and payment methods.

## Viewing your subscription

1. Open Hermes
2. Go to **Settings → Account** or **Billing**
3. View your current plan, renewal date, and usage

## Managing your subscription

### Change plan

1. Go to **Settings → Billing**
2. Click **Change Plan**
3. Select your new plan
4. Confirm the change

Changes take effect:

* **Upgrades**: Immediately
* **Downgrades**: At end of current billing period

### Update payment method

1. Go to **Settings → Billing**
2. Click **Payment Method**
3. Enter new card details
4. Save

### Cancel subscription

1. Go to **Settings → Billing**
2. Click **Cancel Subscription**
3. Confirm cancellation

Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. You can resubscribe anytime.

## Billing cycle

| Plan     | Billing                             |
| -------- | ----------------------------------- |
| Monthly  | Charged on the same date each month |
| Annual   | Charged on the same date each year  |
| Lifetime | One-time charge, no renewals        |

## Invoices and receipts

### View past invoices

1. Go to **Settings → Billing**
2. Click **Billing History** or **Invoices**
3. Download any invoice as PDF

### Get a receipt

Receipts are emailed automatically after each payment. Check your email or download from billing history.

## Common questions

### When will I be charged?

You're charged immediately when you subscribe, then on the same date each billing cycle.

### Can I get a refund?

Contact support within 7 days of purchase for refund requests.

### What happens if payment fails?

* We'll retry the payment a few times
* You'll receive email notifications
* Your subscription continues during the grace period
* If payment isn't resolved, your plan downgrades to Free

### How do I update my billing email?

1. Go to **Settings → Account**
2. Update your email address
3. Billing communications will go to the new email
