What is Hermes Reply?
Hermes Reply lets you respond to text by speaking your intent. Select an email, message, or comment, activate Hermes Reply, and speak what you want to say—Hermes generates a properly formatted response.How to use Hermes Reply
Speak your response intent
Say what you want to convey. For example:
- “Yes, I can meet tomorrow at 2”
- “Thanks for the update, I’ll review it today”
- “Sorry, I’m not available that day”
Examples
Replying to an email
Selected text:“Hi, are you available for a call tomorrow afternoon to discuss the project timeline?”You say: “Yes, 2pm works for me” Hermes writes:
“Hi, yes I’m available tomorrow afternoon. 2 PM works well for me. Looking forward to discussing the project timeline.”
Responding in Slack
Selected text:“Can someone review my PR when they get a chance?”You say: “I’ll take a look this afternoon” Hermes writes:
“I’ll take a look this afternoon!”
Commenting on a document
Selected text:“Should we include the Q3 projections in this section?”You say: “Yes and add a chart” Hermes writes:
“Yes, let’s include the Q3 projections here. A chart would help visualize the data clearly.”
Context awareness
Hermes Reply understands:- The original message — What you’re responding to
- The app you’re in — Email gets formal replies, Slack gets casual ones
Tips for better replies
- Be specific — “Yes at 2pm” is better than just “yes”
- Include key details — Mention names, dates, or action items
- Speak naturally — You don’t need to dictate the full reply, just your intent
