What are Notes?

Notes let you save dictations for later reference. Instead of inserting text directly into an app, you can capture it as a note—useful for ideas, meeting notes, or drafts you want to refine.

Saving a dictation as a note

After dictating, you can save the result as a note instead of (or in addition to) inserting it:
  1. Dictate as usual
  2. Choose “Save as Note” from the Hermes bar or menu
  3. The note is saved to your Notes collection
You can also configure triggers to automatically save dictations as notes.

Viewing your notes

  1. Open Hermes
  2. Go to the Notes section in the sidebar
  3. Browse your saved notes
Notes are displayed with:
  • The content of your dictation
  • When it was created
  • The app you were in (if applicable)

Managing notes

Dictation history vs. Notes

Think of history as a log, and notes as a collection of things you want to keep.

Syncing notes

If Cloud Sync is enabled, your notes sync across all your devices. Create a note on your Mac, and it appears on your other devices signed into the same account.
Notes sync is disabled when Privacy Mode is on.
